Eluid Abijah - Kenya Coordinator
Pastor Eliud Abijah was born in Funyula, Kenya in 1967. He was attending Gilgin College to study building and plumbing when he accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1989. After school, he immediately involved himself in full-time ministry doing evangelism and crusades with the Miracle Center in Busia, Kenya. He began to plant churches starting with the Funyula Miracle Center in 1994, Teso Miracle Center in 1995, Nambale Assemblies of Christ in 1996 and Sega Miracle Center in 1997. In 1999, he began working with the Miracle Center head office in Maseno until 2000, when he moved to help start the Zion Prayer Center in Nambale. Eliud began to work with the Kenyan Assemblies of God in Busia in 2001, where he met Deborah, who had been active in establishing the presence of the Kenyan Assembly of God in Busia town. Eliud was widowed with a son, Johnston, and Deborah was widowed with two sons, Enoch and Nathan, and one daughter, Cheryl and they were married in 2003 after Deborah had established and became pastor of the Kenyan Assemblies of God Church in Siteko, a small village away from Busia. Pr. Abijah has used his apostolic giftings, planting churches and has established discipleship relationships with men and women of God throughout western Kenya. Pr. Martin and Abijah became acquainted in 2001 and was introduced to Harvest Vision Ministries during a missions outreach in November, 2005. Pastor Deborah went to be with the Lord in October 2009. After Deborah’s passing, Abijah continued to pastor the church in Siteko until a permanent pastor was found. During the years in Siteko and even while leading crusades and outreaches throughout western Kenya, Siteko was blessed with a church leadership that put Jesus’ love for the community above even their own church building or other needs. The effort to care for the younger children in the village resulted in a government sponsored school through primary 4 and with a healthy ECD (Early Childhood Development) school. Another ECD outreach has started in Busia through the work in Siteko. The volleyball and soccer youth ministry brought unsaved and saved youth together from four different villages in the area and many of these have been born again. In December, 2010, Abijah moved with the 3 children, Nathan, Jael and Sharon, to Kisumu, a large city, that is more strategically positioned to coordinate the ministry, plant a church fellowship and care for the family.
